A man was charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of his wife, a daughter and his dog in the early morning hours of July 27 in Jacksonville, authorities said Tuesday.
In a statement released by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, authorities say 22-year-old Brandon Kincaid of New Port Richey, Fla., fired a single shot into his wife’s bedroom window, then walked up to his daughter’s bedroom, pulled out a handgun and shot his daughter twice in the head.
Authorities say Kincahd’s daughter was hit twice in her back, while her son was hit in the neck.
Kincaid was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his wounds.
He was later charged with second-degree family violence and aggravated assault.
Investigators say Kindahd was killed after his daughter confronted him about the dog.
